Perhaps you’re working towards a goal or a dream or need to figure out what your dream may be. Join us this weekend, and you’ll have the opportunity to clear the dust and reach your true potential. Seminar materials will lead you towards your “Why” with steps toward intentional living.

Program Presentations:

1) Writing Your Story with Marie Mozzi

Deep down we all want to live a life that matters.  The question is how do we create a life of significance.  Finding your “Why” is a process and it happens step by step.  As a certified John Maxwell coach and trainer, Marie will draw out a mission that is exclusively yours.  It is not time to borrow or copy, it’s time to design, create and write your own story.

  • Define your “Why” allows you to focus more on others and not yourself.
  • Your “Why” gives you confidence.
  • Learn how finding your “Why” fuels your strength and impacts others.

2) Navigating the Crossroads of Life with Jana Hexter

Take the path to peace, fulfillment, and joy. Are you at a turning point in life? Sometimes we enter life’s crossroads tentatively when a job or relationship is no longer satisfying or we just feel the quiet whisper of our soul. Sometimes, we find ourselves unexpectedly at a crossroads as a result of a death, divorce, or job loss.

Most often, we just want it to stop and go away. Learn how to powerfully be at a crossroads in life and use its energy to pause, take stock, let go of what no longer aligns with our hearts and then gently reseed our lives so that we are living a more authentic and fulfilled life.

3) Food for the Soul with Chef Lee Masten, Executive Chef, The Spa at Norwich Inn

Thomas Keller once said, “A recipe has no soul. You, as the cook, must bring soul to the recipe.” Cooking should be fun. What if I was able to show you that you can love food, have a passion for cooking and presenting, while at the same time create great recipes that save time?!! I’ll even show you how healthy eating can be incorporated into your every-day life. Attend this workshop and leave with tips to make cooking fun again:

  • How to cook with food that’s in season, at the opportune time for picking and for better health!
  • Technique is everything! I’ll show you tips and tricks on technique that actually makes food taste better!
  • Learn how to plate, what to plate, and why we plate it in the first place! What is Umami anyway?

Feeling the need for de-cluttering might be just what the doctor ordered.  There appears to be a mindfulness revolution going on; corporations and hospitals are offering mindfulness practices for patients and employees. You can even download an app if you wish. Millions of people have done it. Are you one of them?

Just because your busy doesn’t mean that life has to pass you by. It’s not complicated, but if we can learn to stay in the moment and be centered, we can bring a whole new meaning to productivity and enjoyment of day to day living. Tap into the growing body of research that attests to the benefits of being centered!

Attend this seminar and take away tips on outsmarting stress, relieving your mind of relentless mental loads, and learn how to eat better, sleep better and avoid illness.

Program Presentations:

1) A Time For Mindfulness with Dr. Jerry Silbert

It’s a time without email, texting or ringing cell phones.  It’s a break from multitasking, distractions and a bit of anxiety. This is an opportunity to log onto your “inner net.”  Mindfulness can help reduce stress and allow you to live what poet Mary Oliver calls “your one wild and precious life.”

Mindfulness is the practice of relating in a new way to life in the here and now.  It is not an academic study, not therapy, not quite a workshop, but literally practice.  In a relaxed and safe atmosphere a variety of mindfulness and meditation practices will be introduced.  You will learn and engage in different guided practices to help with attention to the breath, your body, sound, movement, kindness, compassion and the non-judgmental observation of experience as you engage in practicing the technique.  There, time for questions and answers, along with periods of silence. Come engage…No experience necessary.

2) How to Keep your Batteries Charged all Day Long with Marie Mozzi

What do you believe about yourself and the possibilities of living a healthy life?  The critical connection of mind and body will help you achieve peak daily performance and keep your batteries charged all day long!

In this interactive session, Marie challenges your old school thoughts on exercise and movement in your life. Methods for integrating realistic “connection” tips between mind and body are shared to show you how to reduce stress and lead you to achieve lasting physical results. Did you know stress in the body could store fat?  Take home a stress-less approach to movement that will stir up your metabolism and provide overall awareness. It’s not complicated… we have just made it seem that way

Attend this event and you’ll learn:

  • The importance of breathing and how this integration can benefit you every single day of your life.  Incorporate this into your workouts, while providing a stress free environment for your mind and body.
  • Mindful Ayurvedic techniques on breathing that can change your life
  • Connecting what and how we eat to a healthful mind and body.
