1) Writing Your Story with Marie Mozzi

Deep down we all want to live a life that matters.  The question is how do we create a life of significance.  Finding your “Why” is a process and it happens step by step.  As a certified John Maxwell coach and trainer, Marie will draw out a mission that is exclusively yours.  It is not time to borrow or copy, it’s time to design, create and write your own story.

  • Define your “Why” allows you to focus more on others and not yourself.

  • Learn how finding your “Why” fuels your strength and impacts others.

2) Navigating the Crossroads of Life with Jana Hexter

Take the path to peace, fulfillment, and joy. Are you at a turning point in life? Sometimes we enter life’s crossroads tentatively when a job or relationship is no longer satisfying or we just feel the quiet whisper of our soul. Sometimes, we find ourselves unexpectedly at a crossroads as a result of a death, divorce, or job loss.

Most often, we just want it to stop and go away. Learn how to powerfully be at a crossroads in life and use its energy to pause, take stock, let go of what no longer aligns with our hearts and then gently reseed our lives so that we are living a more authentic and fulfilled life.

3) Food for the Soul with Chef Lee Masten, Executive Chef, The Spa at Norwich Inn

Thomas Keller once said, “A recipe has no soul. You, as the cook, must bring soul to the recipe.” Cooking should be fun. What if I was able to show you that you can love food, have a passion for cooking and presenting, while at the same time create great recipes that save time?!! I’ll even show you how healthy eating can be incorporated into your every-day life. Attend this workshop and leave with tips to make cooking fun again:

  • How to cook with food that’s in season, at the opportune time for picking and for better health!
  • Technique is everything! I’ll show you tips and tricks on technique that actually makes food taste better!
  • Learn how to plate, what to plate, and why we plate it in the first place! What is Umami anyway?
  • You’ll leave this class with at least 10 to 15 fifteen new ideas about food, the passion behind flavors and the fun of cooking!

About Marie Mozzi:

Marie Mozzi creates vitality everywhere she goes, whether in the gym, during a motivational speech, or just walking down the street in town. Her energy emanates and draws in others around her, the sparkle of someone who feels great and walks the talk.

Marie’s unique approach blends together of over 20 years of experience of operating Resort and Destination Spa’s and Fitness Centers throughout the US.   In a director position she brought numerous properties from struggling to the spotlight, receiving accolades and industry awards for performance, increase productivity and customer service.  Her business skills allowed her to coach and train her teams to provide Five Star Service standards within and to the customers as well.

As a fitness professional with over 30 years experience in the health and wellness industry, Marie has been certified as Group Instructor and Personal Trainer.   She has made it her mission to stay current and educated in the ever changing world of wellness.   She was accredited as a Nutrition Manager through the American Academy of Sports Nutritionist and Dietitians and trained as an Invincible Athlete Trainer, and Ayurvedic approach to wellness with Dr. John Douillard.  Marie knows the meaning of commitment and setting of goals as she has been a competitor in National Fitness competitions as well as a Ballroom Dancing competitor. Marie is also certified as leadership trainer, coach and professional speaker, certified with the number one leadership expert in the world, John C. Maxwell.

Marie’s coaching extends to her clients in her training programs, whether in an individual, group or corporate setting. Marie’s ability to coach and motivate brings the opportunity to the client to take one step at a time, making incremental changes that create both positive  and permanent lifestyle changes.

Marie is also an advocate for youth wellness programs throughout the country.  As a previous high school coach, teacher and youth minister, her passion remains in motivating and inspiring young people to live their life empowered with facts and conviction around their overall health and wellness.  She presents to young adults and youth organizations around the country.

Marie is a contributing author in the book, Menapause Mavens, (available on Amazon)  addressing the topic of exercise and wellness as women approach and travel through menopause.

Marie travels throughout the US as a consultant, presenter and motivational speaker.

About Jane Hexter:

jana_20cJana has a strong business background and is a graduate of Cornell University. She has trained for many years with Jalaja Bonheim, Founder of the Institute for Circle work. She is a multi-sentient intuitive– having the capacity to see, hear, feel, and know information from beyond the physical realm. She also has the capacity to connect with those who have passed. As a unique bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds, Jana provides a fresh perspective by accessing universal consciousness at a deep level– for people who are approaching one of life’s crossroads or are committed to expanding their awareness to create a better here and now – for themselves, their families, their community, and the people they serve through their businesses.

Jana Hexter guides people who are at the leading edge of our global transition in consciousness and also people who are at a crossroads in life. She is a voice for all people being powerfully and freely expressed in a world in which all life is honored as sacred.

About Chef Lee Masten:

Chef Lee Masten’s resume reads like a journeyman’s visit thru American food with stops in Florida, Arizona, Boston, The Berkshires, Westport, New Haven, and now Norwich, CT. Throw in a year spent in the British West Indies and you begin to see where his techniques and unique combinations of flavors come from.

Lee is a graduate of the Advanced Culinary Arts Program at The Connecticut Culinary Institute in Hartford Ct.  He has over 26 years of culinary and management experience in full service Hotels and Restaurants; serving as sous chef at the Halifax Club in Daytona Beach, Florida, a members-only fine dining restaurant.  Also in Florida, Lee worked as Executive Chef at Ollie’s Caribbean Experience in Orlando.  In the late 1990’s, Lee returned to CT, and held the Executive Chef position at both The Tarantino Restaurant in Westport and at 500 Blake Street in New Haven.  Lee then travelled to Anguilla in the West Indies and worked as Executive Chef of the acclaimed Straw Hat restaurant, a high end 90 seat full service restaurant (mentioned in Conde Nast Traveler and Bon Appetite publications).  From there, Lee returned stateside to MA, where he took up the position of Executive Chef at The Crown Plaza in Pittsfield for 5 years, and was promoted to Executive Chef / F&B Director shortly after arriving.  From there, Lee worked as Executive Chef at The Hilton in Woburn.

An avid fisherman, Lee enjoys creating menus with locally sourced and organic ingredients, and has been known to develop relationships with local farmers and fishermen to assure the freshest of ingredients in his menu creations.
