How is the Spa at Norwich Inn different from other spas?

Our award-winning therapists are experts in the art of pampering and fostering relaxation. Our environment encourages rejuvenation of the body, mind and spirit. The Spa at Norwich Inn subscribes to the International Spa Association “Code of Comfort,” located inside the front cover of this menu of services.

Is it unusual to travel there alone?
No. Many guests travel alone. Some for seclusion, others for the opportunity to meet new people in the Spa’s warm and friendly atmosphere.
What if this is my first time at a spa?
The Spa at Norwich Inn is the perfect place for your first Spa experience. Our professional staff will help ease apprehensions and answer any questions you may have.
How do I schedule a variety of fitness activities, spa treatments, salon, waxing and make-up services during my stay?

Call 800-ASK-4-SPA (800-275-4772) and our trained Reservation Consultants will help schedule your stay. They will explain each treatment in detail and mail your itinerary to you prior to your arrival.

When is it best to do fitness activities?

It is best to rest for at least one hour after any heat treatment, including sauna, steam and whirlpool, prior to exercise.

Am I required to totally disrobe during my treatments?

You are not required to do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. Ask your Reservation Consultant which body treatments require nudity. Undergarments may be worn for certain treatments. Clothing is required in all public areas and suits are required in the swimming pool.

May I request a male or female therapist or the same therapist I had last visit?

While we will make every effort to meet your requests, we cannot guarantee a specific therapist or gender. All therapists are trained in both treatment and draping protocols to ensure your comfort at all times.

What if I have allergies, am pregnant, or other health concerns?

You should have clearance from your physician if you suffer from any illness or allergy. The recent privacy laws limit our ability to inquire about medical and health issues. Therefore, it is up to you to inform your therapist about any medical conditions that will put you at risk. Sometimes, the treatment you chose is inappropriate for your current state of health and adjustments will have to be made. Treatments marked with a P are contraindicated during pregnancy. Information provided to our staff is held in the strictest confidence.

What do I need to bring with me?

Bring a bathing suit, appropriate workout attire and sneakers. We'll supply you with a one-size-fits-all bathrobe, spa slippers and locker. Locker rooms are equipped with changing rooms, showers, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, razors, deodorant, hair spray, mouthwash and hair dryers. Our Boutique carries personal items should you leave something at home.

What is included in Spa Facilities Admission Fee charged to Day Spa Guests?

It includes use of the Spa for the day, the pool when class is not in session, use of our robe and slippers, sauna, steam room and whirlpool, vanity bar with blow dryers, mouth wash, deodorant, mousse, hair gel and spray, showers including shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, hand fruit and herbal teas, and encouraged participation in all of our in-house offerings such as the Morning Walk, Guided Morning Meditation, SPA 101, FIT TIPS, Make-Up Color Analysis Q&A, Afternoon Tea & Scones and Afternoon Wine Tasting. Schedules for these activities are available when you call to make your reservation or at the Spa Front Desk.

How early should I arrive?

Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your first appointment to allow time to check-in at the Spa Front Desk, have a tour to familiarize yourself with our facility and to change into your robe or fitness gear.

What can I do between treatments?

Our Spa offers several areas to enjoy such as our Juice Bar, relaxation room and indoor pool. Attend our complimentary events such as Morning Walk, Meditation, FIT TIPS, SPA 101, Afternoon Tea & Scones, Wine Tasting, and Make-up Color Analysis, or work out in our fitness room. For fun, schedule an Astrology or Tarot Card Reading. Plan to have your hair styled in our new Salon or browse in our wonderful Boutique.

How can I prevent smudging my nail polish?

Due to the humidity in our Spa environment, allow plenty of time for your polish to set before going into the sauna, steam, whirlpool, having a treatment or putting on clothes or shoes. Consider bringing sandals if you are having a pedicure.

What type of cuisine do you offer?

We offer intensely flavored, artistically presented, healthy cuisine in our dining rooms. We also offer an extensive wine list. Our Spa Juice Bar serves a selection of smoothies and healthful snacks. It is perfectly acceptable for you to dine in your bathrobe at breakfast and lunch.

Do I need to have a credit card with me?”

Yes, a valid credit card with your name on it is required to be presented at the start of your spa day. If you prefer to pay with another form of payment when the day has been completed, you can certainly do that. However, when checking in for your day, a credit card is mandatory
