Department: F&B MANAGEMENT
Pay range – Salary Commensurate with Education and Experience
- Responsible for oversight of the operational and financial activities of the Food and Beverage Department.
- Provides hands-on support and guidance in both back and front of house operations as needed.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and standards of the Food and Beverage Department.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to prepare and/or manage financial and/or staffing budgets, excellent written and verbal communications skills to prepare detailed correspondence and make presentations to senior management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts/Hotel Management as well as minimum 7 years combined experience as Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director in similar operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Department: RESTAURANT
Pay range – Hourly Commensurate with Education and Experience
Requires a flexible schedule. Evenings, Weekends and Holidays are required.
- Supervise Dining Room. Ensure guest satisfaction and that standards are followed.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills to be able to deal with guests and employees.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and operating procedure manuals.
- Must be able to juggle multiple tasks.
- Must have a minimum of 2-4 years experience with a fine dining establishment or have comparable education and/or experience. Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Department: SALES
Pay range – Hourly Commensurate with Education and Experience
Schedule to include weekends and weekday evenings.
- Initial contact for main sales email and phone line and distributes as needed.
- Manages from inquiry to detailing all small corporate or social group inquiries of 10 guests or less, with 10 guest room nights or less, and at least one meeting/Banquet event.
- Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills and telephone skills.
- Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with ease.
- Ability to interact with all types of people in varies situations.
- Prior experience with Delphi preferred. Prior Experience in sales preferred.
- High School Degree or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred. Minimum two years hospitality experience with a background in F&B required.
- Experience in Reservations / or Group booking procedures preferred.
- Must be comfortable utilizing computer programs and various office machines (fax, copier, etc). Working knowledge of common computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Department: HOTEL FRONT OFFICE
Pay range – Hourly Commensurate with Education and Experience
Requires a flexible schedule based on business, client, and staffing demands.
- Greets and registers arriving guests at check-in.
- Handles guest inquiries and addresses any reported problems quickly and efficiently.
- Keeps guest’s accounts current and documents all room changes.
- Checks out all departing guests.
- Communicates necessary information with other staff and departments.
- Maintains cash banks and issues/closes out safety deposit boxes. Handles all front desk accounting needs.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work well with co-workers and within a “team atmosphere”.
- Detail-oriented and pro-active.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Basic math skills, including percentages.
- Computer skills.
Department: BANQUETS
Pay range – Hourly plus Gratuity
Requires a flexible schedule based on business, client, and staffing demands.
- Set-up of Banquet Rooms, serve food and/or beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette. Knowledge of appropriate table settings and serviceware.
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items.
- Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g. coffeemaker.
- High school diploma preferred. Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout a shift. Shift hours will differ in length of time.
Department: SPA TREATMENT
Pay range – Hourly Commensurate with Education and Experience
Varied schedule to include weekends, holidays and weekday evenings.
- Under the supervision of Spa Management, the incumbent will perform massage therapy and will be trained to perform other spa body treatments including but not limited to hydrotherapy, body wraps, exfoliation treatments, hot stone treatments, etc. General knowledge of spa operations, equipment, products and procedures are essential.
- Must be currently licensed as a Massage Therapist in the State of Connecticut. National certification a plus.
